Gardens are Dangerous Renewal

Gulped by a snapdragon -- magenta embalmed --
wriggling, squiggling down the stem
sliding green and gnarling
into roots -- cool, dark, ferny --
to evaporate free, to fumble like fungi
spreading, searching, curling around a seed
shouting its scream of rebirth
shuddering upwards through earth, sky, universe
set free.
